Samford RDA has received a very welcome donation of $2,786 from a charity raffle conducted at the recent Cox Plate Race Day at Doomben Racecourse.
The 50:50 Charity Raffle, which raises funds for charities across Queensland, is a not-for-profit initiative operated by the 50-50 Foundation. We were selected for the fourth time to be a beneficiary; and we thank those RDA volunteers who gave up a Saturday afternoon to sell raffle tickets to racegoers and promote the work of Riding for the Disabled Association.
Half the prize pool raised on the day went to a lucky ticket holder, with the remaining 50 percent (less commission) going directly to Samford RDA.
