Volunteer induction for RDA
Samford RDA is currently looking for volunteers – so if you are interested, please consider attending our next Volunteer Induction on Sunday, April 3.
The induction introduces prospective volunteers to the work of RDA which benefits children and adults with a wide range of disabilities. It is also an opportunity to meet our herd of amazing RDA horses.
Anyone over 14 years of age, with or without riding or horse handling experience, is welcome. The only requirement is that all participants wear trousers and closed-in shoes.
RDA’s valued volunteers work in all aspects of the centre’s operation including horse care, grounds maintenance and assisting participants during sessions. Volunteers have total flexibility when it comes to their hours and days, however all must follow Covid safety procedures.
The induction will be held at Samford RDA centre at Samford Showgrounds from 9.30am to 11.30am on April 3. Current volunteers who need a refresher are also encouraged to attend. To RSVP, email Sharon at volunteer@samfordrda.com.au.
Thanking you!
We sincerely thank residents of Samford Gardens Retirement Village for donating $100 from their jewellery making classes. Such a lovely gesture!
We also wish to thank the many residents of Samford and surrounding areas who regularly donate their refundable containers in support of our centre (ID: C10072037).
Finally, a special thanks go to local business 88 Ducks for its involvement in our recent Fine Food Fundraiser. All proceeds from the sale of 88 Ducks’ Queensland-made gourmet chutneys, relishes and jams during the fundraiser will benefit the RDA program.
